Yvonne Toms LRPS a short biography

I was born and raised in Keighley West Yorkshire.I came to Cornwall 40yrs ago, met and married a "cornish boy" from Polperro, we have two lovely grown up children a beautiful Grand-daughter...she brings us so much joy, and still live in the beautiful fishing village of Polperro( a photographers paradise) I have always loved taking pictures but it wasn't until I retired that I became really prolific, I am a member of Liskeard and District Camera Club  which keeps me very busy! I enjoy entering competitions and viewing other peoples images. I am also a member of the Royal Photographic Society and was awarded a Licentiateship in April 2009.

I like taking pictures of just about everything, wacky, quirky sometimes odd and sometimes very silly things, from rusty railway lines to boots with plants in them, from portraits to fungi and wildlife. I also love travelling around the world so you are just as likely to see a gondola or a rickshaw as you are a cornish hedge or seascape,living in Cornwall gives me plenty of opportunities to get out and about with my camera, the camera is a wonderful tool but.......the eye sees all!
